Welcome

Thank you for visiting our Website.  We aim to keep it updated regularly, informing you of the activities, achievements and development of the school.

At Field Junior we want to ensure our school is a safe and happy environment where children can enjoy and achieve success in a wide range of educational experiences led by a motivated and well supported staff.

We believe that home and school should work together and parents should be well informed, able to share in their child’s achievements and welfare and to support the school in their child’s learning.

The staff at Field Junior are an enthusiastic and hard-working team who are keen to give our children a range of curricular and extra curricular activities to enrich their learning. The governors and senior leadership team work to provide a well structured development process that will take our children through Keystage Two and prepare them well for secondary school and beyond.

We are extremely pleased with our continued academic successes. Attainment at the end of Year 6 is an indicator of the hard work that goes on throughout the school. Results have risen to consistently high levels over the past four years (see Statutory Information section for details) as we continue to strive for the best outcomes for all our children. We are now working to embed the new National Curriculum which offers the challenge of new ‘Age Related Standards’ for all our children. Our SATs results this year – with outcomes above County and National averages – indicate that we are maintaining our high standards for all.

We are fortunate in having a unique building which has enabled us to develop a range of facilities for use by the children and the local community. With an ethos of care and support at the heart of all we do, children are nurtured and taught to respect, value and co-operate with all members of our school community.

We believe that all children in our school should have access to a broad and enriched curriculum and leave Field Junior with an enthusiasm for their future learning.
