At Field Junior School, we are proud to introduce our Language Ambassadors. These pupils have been chosen for their kindness, patience, and enthusiasm for languages and helping others.
The role of a Language Ambassador is to:
– Welcome new children to our school, especially those who are learning English as an Additional Language (EAL).
– Help classmates feel included and supported in lessons and at playtime.
– Encourage everyone to enjoy learning new words and discovering different cultures.
– Be a friendly face and a good listener when someone needs help.
Each class has one Language Ambassador, who acts as a buddy for new pupils, helping them settle into school life and feel confident. A termly meeting will be held with Miss Timms to discuss their roles, share ideas and how they are getting on in the role.
