Due to the Covid19 virus school will close on Friday 20th March for an indefinite period.
Children of key workers and identified vulnerable children will be offered access to care, within school, as far as possible. These families will be notified directly by the school.
A letter will go home today regarding key worker care arrangements. A pack of work will be sent home with children tomorrow and work activities will be posted on the website (class pages). Arrangements will be made for families currently offsite or isolating to collect work packs from Monday. Details for this will be put on the website and a text will be sent.
Notification of the school re opening will be posted on the Everbridge system, the school website and in the media.
- A notification will be immediately sent to Hertfordshire. Announcements will also be made on Three Counties Radio (95.5FM), Heart FM (96.6), BOB FM (106.7,106.9).
- Notifications will be posted via the Everbridge system – see the sign up link above.
- We will text all parents with information stating whether we are open or closed (a good reason to make sure we have your up to date mobile number details).
- We will post on the school website.
We will always endeavour to keep the school open if at all possible, but will first need to take into account Health and Safety (particularly our ability to clear ice from the entrance to the school and in the playgrounds), road and footpath conditions and staffing numbers – ensuring that enough staff can make the journey in to school as many live at some distance from school.
