Information for the children who will be joining us in September

As parents are not permitted to visit the school as part of the transition process from year 2 to year 3, the staff have created a virtual tour of the school, which will give you and your child an idea of what it will be like when you start in September.  To watch the video click below.

Message from the Headteacher

Hello Parents/Carers and Children

Well, this is the strangest start to my Headship imaginable.

I am so looking forward to being the New Headteacher of this amazing school and I hope I can do just as good a job as Mrs Henley. Field Junior School is very special to me after having worked here for 21 years and my Dad came to this school as a youngster when his family moved to Watford from London after the second World war!

It was so sad not to be able to give Mrs Henley the BIG send off that we wanted to, but as soon as school is back to normal we will invite her in to say our farewells and present her with gifts in an assembly. She was so sad not to be able to say goodbye to you fabulous children.

I hope you all have enjoyed some of the sunshine over the last few weeks and that you have been busy spending some time on your school work. Please do as your parents or carers tell you to, treat it like doing work in class and pretend your parent or carer is your teacher. We don’t want any tantrums or grumpiness.

I am missing you all so much, especially all the happy smiley faces that Field children always show in school!

Take care, stay safe and be good!
Miss Brooks
